USPCAS-E UET Peshawar’s Entrepreneurship Spirit Program (ESP) is aimed to introduce participants to the world of business, as well as to encourage and inspire individuals to pursue their entrepreneurial ambition. Through free lectures and networking sessions to be delivered by experts and entrepreneurs on identified themes relevant for postgraduate students, ESP will transform their ideas into desirable products considering future career paths in entrepreneurial opportunities. The participants will get a chance to develop communications skills and personal connections through networking sessions, where they will come in close contact with successful entrepreneurs and other stakeholders who can provide support and assistance in the start-up of spin off companies. The Center will announce the theme and criteria for each upcoming event of ESP.
Entrepreneurial Spirit Program includes:
Networking with successful entrepreneurs!
“Enterprise Saturday” is a series of lectures and networking sessions from experts and successful entrepreneurs on identified Saturdays of the month. This will be a three to four hour session, where the participants have the opportunity to abreast themselves on entrepreneurial opportunities and a networking session with practitioners.
Transforming your ideas into a product!
“Startup weekend” is a competition-based session, with an opportunity for the participants (especially graduate students) to pitch an innovative idea and work in a team with the practitioners to make a viable commercial venture. The commercial venture developed will be presented the next day and will be judged by experts against competing teams.
ESP brings tremendous benefits for a wide range of people from universities, industry and academia:
Students particularly at postgraduate (final semester/year) level develop their creativity and their ability to generate ideas and turn them into action. They learn to work well in a team, take imitative and accept responsibility by expressing what it means to manage a real enterprise.
Universities will access to develop network with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders that will help in bridge the gap between academia, industry and government.
Entrepreneurs & Employers:
Entrepreneurs will get a chance to meet young creative minds at graduate level, explore opportunities and benefit from the innovative ideas, developing a viable commercial project and meet various stakeholders to develop network.
