U.S. Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) and Arizona State University in collaboration with the Green Building Council of Pakistanhas organized a two day Green Building Workshop: U.S. and Pakistani practices on 13th and 14th December 2016 at NUST, Islamabad. This was the fourth in a series of workshops on energy that ASU will deliver in Pakistan throughout the duration of the USPCAS-E project. Orientation session for 4th Batch of students enrolled in MSc Electrical Energy System Engineering was held on October 6, 2016 at USPCAS-E UET Peshawar. USPCAS-E UET Peshawar holds Radio Show on Admissions through FM101 on 25th August 2016.
The USPCAS-E staff visited the Mir Pur University of Science and Technology (MUST) on 17th August 2016. The staff reached out to the graduating engineers of Electrical Engineering (EE, Power) to inform them about Master’s admissions in Electrical Energy System Engineering. A detailed presentation was given to the students and faculty of EE (Power). It was informed that 51 students enrolled at the Center have been awarded merit and need-based scholarships fully-funded by USAID while there are 50% merit and need-based scholarships, and internship opportunities to women. USPCAS-E staff conducted a “Women Outreach Session” as part of its media and outreach Campaign under Fall Admissions 2016. This special session held on 17th August, 2016 was mainly focused on women with the objective to extend the benefits of scholarships to talented women engineers with electrical engineering background. They were informed about admission procedure, benefits such as 50 % seats for women, allied facilities, U.S. exchange program and gender equity action plan.
