On 28th January 2016, faculty members of MESC USPCAS-E UET Peshawar visited the LUMS, Lahore with the objective to strengthen the research collaboration between the LUMS and USPCAS-E. The core objective of the visit was to meet the faculty members and to see the laboratory facilities with the aim to prepare guidelines for the collaborative research activities and exchange of students.
One-Day Training Workshop on Biomass Gasification Technology was organized by the US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) in the seminar room of USPCAS-E UET Peshawar on 18th February, 2016. The trainers of workshop were renowned experts from CAS-EN NUST, Islamabad, King Abdul Aziz University, KSA, UNIDO and gzl. Trainers has enlighten the participants about the key concepts, problem areas and commercialization of the Biomass Gasification Technology.
USPCAS-E UET Peshawar undertook a wider outreach program with targeted engineering departments and private HE institutions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The staff delivered subject specific sessions advising prospective students and faculty through exclusive visits. In this respect, the staff visited UET Bannu Campus on 18th February. The Campus also hosted students from Bannu University of Science and Technology, Postgraduate College No. 2 and Rashid Mnhas University of Science and Technology, Bannu. The U.S. Consul General William J. Martin and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak today unveiled a plaque at the KP Provincial Assembly to formally launch the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E).
