Manager Industry liaison

· To work closely with USCPASE UET and its partners to identify suitable organizations/individuals will to contribute via joint projects, in kind contributions, direct contributions etc. to USPCASE’s objectives and activities

· To identify other funding opportunities (corporate houses, trusts, funding agencies, donors and individuals) internationally and locally, and provide recommendations for next steps in approaching these sources of funding.

· To develop a database that is regularly updated summarizing the range of donors potentially interested in funding the work of USPCASE.

 

· To liaise closely with Director (USPCASE) to prioritize potential funding opportunities according to the best possible match between the scope of projects activities and donor interests.

· To coordinate with Director (USPCASE) for the implementation of the fundraising strategy

· To develop customized proposals suitable for corporate/other sponsors, taking into account USPCASE applied research areas

· Foster new links with industry to encourage collaboration, funding and sponsorship.

· Undertake any other assignment by the Director.

 

 

· Master’s Degree in management / social sciences / Sciences.

· Minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience (including donor management, identification and liaison; proposal writing).

· Proven track of successful fundraising. Demonstrated success in preparing proposals and grant applications that have been approved for funding.

· Knowledge of project management cycle.

· Knowledge of fundraising cycles, proposal formats and application procedures for key donors.

· The ideal candidate would be energetic, flexible and adaptable in their approach, be able to work individually or as a team and have excellent communication skills.

· Relevant USAID Experience will be preferred.

· Oversees and administers the day-to-day activities of the office.

· Organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, and other special events; coordinates and attends committee meetings.

· Prepares, processes and follows-up on administrative arrangements and forms related to the official travel of staff and participants being funded by the Centre.

· Drafts routine correspondence.

· Maintains files of rules, regulations, administrative instructions and other related documentation.

· Maintains up-to-date work files of the administration department (mainly electronic but also paper when needed).

· To report regularly to the concern line manager on an issue deemed appropriate for university wide consideration.

Program Assistant

(Exchange Program And Scholarship)

Exchange Program:

· Facilitate the process of Developing SOPs / selection criteria for the selection of students / faculty for US exchange Program.

· Execution of DS-2019 application process for exchange candidates.

· Execution of DS-160 US J1- visa Application process for exchange candidates.

· Organize and facilitate student SRFI interviews for exchange program.

· Responsible for online TRAINET data entries and submission.

· Responsible for data collection and documents preparation for TEAINET R2 online and SRFI interviews.

· Responsible for data collection and document preparation for SRFI interview of exchange program.

· Maintain active database of student and faculty who have participated in the exchange program.

· Facilitate communications with US partner university.

 

Scholarship Program:

· Act as contact person for scholarship sponsors / collaboration partners.

· Facilitate physical verification of students in the scholar ship program

· Aid students in registering for the scholarship and solicit nominations of student for the award.

· Maintain active database of student and faculty who have participated in the scholarship program.

· Create scholarship profiles for students to include admissions process, essays, resumes. Scholarship

· Any additional tasks assigned by line manager.

HR Assistant

· Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties

· Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives

· Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)

· Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)

· Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes

· Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations

· Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)

Store Keeper / Admin Assistant

· Issuing and receiving stores to and from Direct Labor and Contractors.

· Putting stock away in accordance with the Company’s Quality procedures (stock rotation)

· Receive requisition orders from the various department heads, to prepare them for issuing and finality to issue them to the respective departments.

· Keep a tight control on stock movements and to have all items inventoried and issued correctly at all times.

· Verifies statements and supporting documents.

· Communicates with others in order to receive or transmit information.

· Preparing weekly uplifts/transfers of Stock. Planning visits to Departments, if required. Assist with physical Stock check.
