MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

1.

Academic Program Developer –Energy System Engineering

· Develop and evaluate new curriculum, review and assess current curriculum in consultation with faculty, staff and business representatives in its design to ensure that academic program is meeting intended objectives and requirements. Develop Methodology to edit and amend it annually.

· Conduct research.

· Prepare instructions and develop outlines with the necessary basic details for those instructions.

· Assist Professional Development for Teachers.

· Identify guest speakers and trainers on topics and develop activities that will train teachers’ academic content and best practices in education.

· Aggressively pursue opportunities to learn best practices in teacher professional development through research, professional development, and other learning opportunities.

· Provide in-class support and coaching to teachers using designated curricula, including coaching on teacher strategies, help connecting to outside speakers on resources, and assistance in leading classroom activities and lessons.

· Work with Project Management Unit (PMU) and Director to produce reports for external stakeholders.

· Help PMU to recruit teachers

· Attend conferences and meetings to promote program mission to stakeholders.

· Responsible for updating reports and scheduling visits for accreditation process.

· Assist PMU in financial and administrative management of all faculty-based programs, including developing and meeting budget, fundraising, and hiring.

Teaching

· Teaching MS and PhD students

PhD in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Mining/ Civil/ Mechatronics/ Industrial or relevant Engineering field from HEC recognized university with research experience in the field of Energy Efficient Buildings/ Thermal Energy/ Bio Energy/ Energy Efficient Process Engineering

 

12-years teaching and or research experience in a recognized institution, college or university or 12- year’s professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization out of which 5-years must be teaching experience.

OR

10-years post PhD teaching and or research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. And

2-years program and curriculum development experience, in a multi-task environment.

15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years) in HEC/PEC recognized journals.

 

2.

Master’s Degree (foreign) OR MPhil in Material Sciences / MS (Pakistan) in Material Engineering i.e. after 18 years of Education

One year teaching or research experience

4.

Director of Administration (01)

The incumbent holding this position will provide overall technical and administrative leadership in the areas of project administration and procurement for the USPCAS. General responsibilities will include everyday project administration, and all procurement related support. In addition, s/he will work with the Director, HEC and respective USPCAS universities, to ensure all procurements are made in compliance with and are congruent with USAID regulations.

  • A minimum of five years of experience in administration.
  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or any other relevant field
  • Experience with international development programs and actors, including major donors and implementing organizations such as NGOs.
  • Experience managing grants under a USAID-funded project strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, leadership, creative problem-solving and ethical management;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; and,
  • English language fluency is required. Knowledge of Urdu and other local languages strongly preferred.

5.

HR Manager (01)

The incumbent holding this position will provide overall technical and administrative leadership in the areas of Human Resource Management. General responsibilities will include identifying staff vacancies and recruitment, interview and selecting applicants through accepted HR procedures. Support in HRD and HR Planning. In addition s/he will serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering rules and regulations and helping resolve work-related problems.

  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, physical sciences/Engineering or any other relevant field
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience of Human Resource Management at autonomous, semi-autonomous and or public sector of international repute autonomous, semi-autonomous and or public sector of international repute.
  • Experience with and knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, etc.

Internal Auditor (01)

Conducting Internal Control evaluation and risk assessment. Preparing an Annual Internal Audit Plan. Preparing special reports when asked for by the management on various aspects of financial management. Assisting PMU in engaging an independent chartered accounting firm to assess internal controls over contract management, payments, and ex-post review of procurements etc. Facilitating the Office of Auditor General of Pakistan in undertaking periodic reviews and annual audit of PMU financial transactions. Assisting the finance department in preparation SoPs in critical areas. Ensuring that systems exist for generation of accurate and reliable financial and other information

  • Chartered Accountant(ICAP)

7.

Security Manager (01)

  • Develop and enforce security procedures and regulations
  • Develop Security Plan for USPCAS-E
  • Take appropriate security related actions including security clearance to all travelers, regularly monitor security situation and issue advisories, review and approve all Travel Authorization Requests (TAR) for staff, Acquire NOCs for Expats, Conduct security briefings to all travelers and new employees, Conduct security debriefings after security incidents, Provide security measures for USPCAS-E events
  • Establish security procedures related to vehicles and ensuring they are properly equipped. Provide security related training if required. Establish Incident Reporting response protocol.
  • Masters in Social Sciences
  • Security Management Certifications from accredited institution (IOM, Red-R, ICRC, UN etc.)
  • 5 years of working experience in field of security.

8.

Receptionist (01)

Answer all incoming calls and handle caller’s inquiries whenever possible, re-directing calls and taking messages. Greet & Guide visitors and facilitate their access to information related to USPCAS-E. Operate and manage the telephone switchboard. Be familiar with relevant websites and effective use of Internet; provide accurate CAS-EP related information to requestors. Register all incoming documents/letters and distribute correspondence timely through proper procedure. Manage outgoing faxes and mails through post office and courier service. Collect and update CAS-EP staff and students contact information. Maintain safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
